On November 13, 2021 at 8:00 PM author E. J. Wenstrom will read from her book Departures. In-person and by Zoom at the Baltimore Science Fiction Society Building. This will be between the normal Balticon and BSFS Business Meetings. See below for Meeting details and Zoom login link. All are welcome as usual. Film Night at BSFS:
The next Film Night will be held November 20, 2021 (for vaccinated and masked only please) from 7:00pm-10:30 pm. (Building opens at 6:00 PM for early arrivals) Star Trek Continues is an excellent fan film and we will show the episodes Pilgrim of Eternity and Fairest of them all (fan films so good people have become confused and thought they were classic Trek episodes) and then several Pro animated items. All on our 10 ft screen! Our license gives us the right to show pro productions, but we are not supposed to advertise on the web but can distribute flyers—so consider this email a flyer. We are running several episodes of Lower Decks. Come on down and get your trek on.

Returning to in-person at the BSFS Building on November 14, 2021 (for vaccinated and masked only please) from 12:00 Noon til 5:00pm Board gaming using the Hal Haag Memorial game collection. Chessiecon is a general SF and Fantasy convention usually held in Maryland during Thanksgiving weekend. They were going to be in person this year, but FEMA snagged their hotel to house emergency workerspicking up the option way too late for them to find another hotel.
