June Film Night at BSFS:
On June 18, 2022 at 7:00 PM+ join us for a. Star Trek Related Mini-Film Fest. Our MPLC license gives us the right to show pro productions, but we are not supposed to advertise on the web, but can distribute fliers--so consider this a flyer. This month we will screen multiple episodes of Star Trek Strange New Worlds. You can watch on a big 10 ft screen with your friends… For directions to the BSFS Building for this or any other event see https://www.bsfs.org/bsfsdrct.htm
BSFS Annual Picnic:
On June 25, 2022 from 12:00 Noon (show at 11:00 am to help set up) till dusk ( ˜ 9 PM) at Patapsco Valley State Park, Hollofield Area, Shelter # 301, 8020 Baltimore National Pike (RT 40 W) Ellicott City, MD 21043 (No rain date, we are under shelter) We provide charcoal fire and snacks and non-alcohol beverages. Pot luck, bring and share. Park fee collected by park rangers to get into park of $3.00 per for State Residents and $5.00 for out of state folks, but no charge from BSFS. See https://www.bsfs.org/images/bsfs-picnic-map-2022.pdf for map to picnic. If need be call Dale (me) at 443-310-4080 on that day to be talked in, although map indicates well.
Book Club Meeting at BSFS during PICNIC:
Next held June 25, 2022 at 6:30 PM. Featured Book: Consider Phlebas by Ian M Banks, the first in his Culture series. In-person only at the BSFS Picnic NOT AT BSFS BUILDING. Not by Zoom this month as internet at park spotty.
Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at BSFS: (online for now)
Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event. June 26, 2022 from 1-5pm. On Discord only at https://discord.gg/5U3s2YzPzQ To participate by Discord you do need to register for Discord if you have never done so before, but the process is fairly easy. Our Tabletop Roleplaying Games (RPGs) meetup! We will be rotating through various tabletop Sci Fi RPGs. You are welcome if you love Tabletop RPG's. We will be running for all levels and will have premade characters available. We will run as many games as we have players to fill. For more details contact mike at bsfs dot org
Anime Social at BSFS:
Not held in June due to BSFS Picnic on June date. Returns July 23, 2022 where we will screen a Cells at Work Marathon and conclude the Demon Slayer Train Arc. For more details email anime@bsfs dot.org
Borrow and bring back books from our 14,000 item free lending library at any event or meeting at the BSFS Building.
