Thanksgiving Pot-Luck at BSFS:
On 11/24/2022 aka Thanksgiving Day starting at 6:30 PM join SF fans for a Pot-Luck picnic event at the BSFS Building. You can visit the family and then come on down to the Baltimore Science Fiction Society Building to recover… RSVP to Miriam at bsfs dot org to coordinate. Speculative Poetry Workshop by Zoom:

Film Night at BSFS:
On November 19, 2022 at 7:00 PM+ (building opens at 6:00 PM for early folks) with fun fan films and professional productions our license allows. This month a couple of fan film followed by a pro avant-garde foray into fantasy film known as Fast Color! all on our 10 ft screen. The license we have says we can not advertise on the open web but this email is like a flyer. This is a superpowers movie without superhero motif. Brilliantly executed. (Library open of course during this event like at all in-person events)
Sunday Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at Online:
Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event is back November 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On Discord only at https://discord.gg/5U3s2YzPzQ To participate by Discord you do need to register for Discord if you have never done so before, but the process is fairly easy. You are welcome if you love Tabletop RPG's. We will be running for all levels and will have premade characters available. For more details contact mike at bsfs dot org
Anime Social at BSFS:
Our Anime social will be November 26, 2022 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the BSFS Building. Items to be screened include Shine on! Bakamatsu Bad Boys episodes 1-3 @ 2pm. At 3:30pm, we’ll watch The Girl from the Otherside episodes 1-3. And at 5 pm, we’ll continue making our way through Demon Slay. It really works best in person with meeting other folks and seeing the anime on our 10 ft screen, but at need you can do as a watch party at home using discord. Chessiecon is a science fiction and fantasy convention put on by the Thanksgiving Science Fiction Society to continue in the tradition of DarkoverCon. This year held at Delta Hotels Baltimore Hunt Valley, a Marriott hotel, located at 245 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21031. The con emphasizes the work of women creators of science fiction and fantasy in literature and art. Chessiecon has over 200 hours of programming including writing, music, gaming, art, and science.
