BSFS 60th Anniversary Meeting Party:

We are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the Baltimore Science fiction Society on January 14, 2023 inside the BSFS Building with a party instead of the normal business meeting:

The schedule:
4:30 - 5:30 PM - snacks and schmoozing.
5:30 - 6:00 PM - dignitary speeches (Baltimore Local Officials join us!).
6:00 - 7:30 PM - buffet dinner (dessert is at 7 – CAKE!).
7:30 - 8:00 PM - setting up for the concert (schmoozing).
8:00 - 9:00 PM - concert with Mitchell and T. J. Burnside Clapp, Emily Lewis and Gary Ehrlich.
9:00 - until the cops come -- hanging out, filking, schmoozing, etc.

We're ordering food, so we really, really need folks to let us know you are coming. If you haven't done so already, RSVP to Trea...@bsfs.org, especially if you're bringing a guest then please do so, and all are very welcome. We are ordering a bit extra for drop-ins, but an idea ahead of time will really help.

There are gluten free and vegetarian options. We'd like to make sure everyone is well fed and comfortable, so known major allergens will not be there - no nuts, peanuts, fish or shellfish.

Film Night at BSFS: 

On January 21, 2023 at 7:00 PM+ (building opens at 6:00 PM for early folks) with fun fan films and professional productions our license allows. The license we have says we can not advertise on the web but can distribute flyers and send directed email so we are screening the UFO 2022 Western Ranch culture based film NOPE. See it on our 10 ft screen off a blue-ray source so it will pop.





Balticon 57 Registrations and Room Block Open:

 The functionality to buy a membership to Balticon 57 online is open as well as the functionality to book a hotel room on the Hotel and Registration Tab at www.balticon.org at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in the Baltimore Inner Harbor area May 26-29, 2023 (Memorial Day Weekend) for the 57th annual Balticon, the Maryland Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention.

Sunday Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at Online: 

Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event is on January 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Our Tabletop Roleplaying Games (RPGs) meetup! We will be rotating through various tabletop Sci Fi RPGs. You are welcome if you love Tabletop RPG's. Thursday Night Alphabet Soup Board Gaming at BSFS:

Evenings of the first and third Thursdays of each month, that is for next ones are January 19, 2023 and February 2, 2023 at 5:00 PM and going to 10:30 PM come on down for a night of in-person SF and Fantasy theme board gaming. Writers Circle at BSFS:

BSFS sponsors a Writing Circle 6:30-8:30pm usually meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month inside the BSFS Building, however, near term this means teleconference only by zoom on 01/12/2023 and 01/26/2023. Participants prefer to stay on zoom for now. This is a SF and Fantasy focused writing group. If you write check it out. At least Seven stories work shopped at this writer's circle have been sold to professional markets in the last three years.
