Film Night at BSFS:

On February 18, 2023 at 6:00 PM+ (building opens at 5:00 PM for early folks) we will screen the entire Moon Knight series where classic Egyptian mythology meets a superhero theme. The license we have says we can not advertise on the web but can distribute notice to email list. See it on our 10 ft screen with friends.



Balticon Hotel Block Report:

Balticon, the Maryland Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention (Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-29, 2023) is busy in the planning and preparation stages and you can read about it at our website of balticon.org (Yes, Balticon is a project of the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, Inc.)  One early statistic that can be used as a benchmark for the eventual size of each year's Balticon is the hotel sleeping room block of those folks traveling in because they are not lucky enough to live in easy commute range.  As of today we are at 50% of the hotel room block which places us very near the 2019 Balticon (pre-pandemic event) hotel room block and very far ahead of the 2022 hotel room block (last year) at the same number of days prior to the convention.




Sunday Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event at Online:

The BSFS Tabletop Role-Playing Game Event is next on March 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Steam Punk Event in Hunt Valley:

 Tell-Tale Steampunk is Baltimore’s first Steampunk Convention. It is a weekend long event April 1-2, 2023 featuring workshops, vendors, entertainment, music, and educational panels and held at our old friend the Delta Hotels Baltimore Hunt Valley.
