Corrupted video import - black screen 100 frames - "pseudo codec failure"

While not a question, I believe this insight could prove valuable to individuals encountering similar challenges.

I recently encountered an issue where specific videos failed to load properly, resulting in an abundance of black frames—roughly 100 in total. Initially, I suspected a mismatched codec and devoted considerable effort to experimenting with both offline and online converters.

Ultimately, the root cause revealed itself to be the file destination. Curiously, a file freshly converted operated seamlessly when stored in my download folder but replicated the error upon relocation to my designated final folder destination. It seems that either the excessive length of the file path or the presence of special characters (ü) within the file path has caused the error.

Should you encounter such problems, I recommend exploring alternative folder directories as a potential resolution strategy.
