Hi everyone -- this is a Maya Toolshelf question rather than an XMA Lab question, but I'm hoping someone here might know. Is there a way to re-measure joint movements using existing joint axes?

I have an existing scene with joint axes, but I have now tracked additional trials. Updating the mesh animations is straightforward but I can't figure out how to re-measure the joint axes to generate new data from them. Is this possible? I am using the jAx tool.

Thanks!
Jeff

I think you should be able to use OuputRelativeMotion — the oRel tool on the MayaTools shelf. Select your two joint axes (the giant locators) as tho proximal and distal elements, not the bones.

That was exactly the simple solution I was missing. Thanks so much, Beth!

Best,
Jeff
