Dear GDAC Firehose,

I'm interested in analyzing the preprocessed methylation data for several cancer types using the data provided on Firehose. Specifically, I'm working with the beta values provided in the "meth.by_mean.data.txt" files. Unfortunately, I am not able to find out how the data was preprocessed and if the preprocessing was similar for all cancer types.

Could you please give me more information about the preprocessing of the methylation data provided on Firehose?

Best regards,
Rico Bense
