I finally got down to the basement using the lift Friday and it broke with me in it on Friday.   Fortunately,  my friends Penelope was here and was able to manually lower it.   I walked up the stairs and she dragged my wheelchair up the stairs.   It was fixed today and I went back to the sewing room.  I was terrified whe n I saw everything in it.  Today I got back and realized some things were in the wrong room, all the cabinets were empty and would hold a lot of what was there, plus I'll buy more storage shelves.  Seeing the basement again was the first time I've been happy with the house.  I bought it because of the basement.

Michele Jaye,

Basements are good. Especially during tornadoes. I was in a building without ont, once, when we were hit out in Fox Lake.  Ask me about that, sometime...
