Hello from a balmy 14° in Chicagoland!

If you shop at JoAnn's their Black Friday discounts are great!   If you shop online and do a pick-up you get an additional 20% off the entire purchase.   I actually found things I wanted in the store and placed the orders while there.  It takes an hour for the order to go through.   So we had to pick it up the next day even though we'd already picked everything and put it in one cart.  I also bought my first fabric since buying the new house. There's a $15 off coupon on a single cut of fabric.  Storage containers are 40% off.  I got 4 thread storage bins.   Which will free up a large drawer in my sewing chest of drawers. I'm trying to organize things so I can start using them. 

If you are considering/needing appliances, TVs, or cars, now is the time to buy them.   Next year the tariffs will jack up prices. I had to get a new induction stove, and washer & heat pump dryer because neither vent to the outside.  I saved hundreds, and Com Ed gave me an instant rebate of $300.  There's also the IRA,  Inflation Reduction Act tax credits if you switch to electric.  FYI, if you get three quotes for installing the required electrical outlet there should be another credit.   Unfortunately, I wasn't aware at the time. 

Other good news, my hands continue to improve.   Who knew being able to control a nail clipper with both hands is exciting!  Plus until next year I'm out of PT/OT and I was told it was okay to try crocheting. 

Finally, three of my friends that are angels helped rearrange my whole bedroom including moving my relatively new queen bed into place and prepping my hospital bed for pickup.   Today will be the first time I've slept in a normal bed since July of 2023!
