It's amazing what happens when you really read this stuff.......
In the ByLaws .....
Article V. Officers, Section 5.4, Duties of the Corresponding Secretary
The first sentence of the first paragraph reads:
"The Corresponding Secretary shall give or cause to be given notice of all meetings of the Board and members and shall perform such other duties as the Board may prescribe."
The first sentence of the third paragraph also reads:
"The Corresponding Secretary shall give or cause to be given notice of all meetings of the Board and members and shall perform such other duties as the Board may prescribe."
This looks like a cut-and-paste error, as in cutting and pasting where it shouldn't be. How can this be fixed? Do we need to write a new section in the By-Laws for dealing with this kind of thing?
Article III, General Provisions, Section 3 Amendments, describes the procedure for amending the ByLaws, but I wouldn't consider this a change in the meaning at all. More like correcting a mis-spelled word.
Advice? Opinions?
