Feature Android Task Manager does not work?

Hey all

So I would like to use the feature of switching to the Android Task manager on long left wheel pressing.

Apparently this only works, if the left wheel press is mapped to a function other than "Escape".

To this end I have installed the Beta version of the app (Android, vers. 2.32) and have successfully assigned the "indicator cancel" to "Escape". 

However, I cannot assign anything other function to the "left wheel long press" - I can choose a different function but it won't accept saving it.

HW FW is 2.1

Any solution here?

Is anybody using the feature successfully?

This is a core feature to me because I would like to be able to switch between tasks (e.g. placing a call during a running navigation and then getting back to the navigation) without taking off my gloves.
