Hello

I just got the device and installed on the bike. Connected with bluetooth. All the icons stayed as per bike is disconnected.

Jumped on the website and read this in compatability guide.

R1200GS/R1250GS

2013

The first year the Wonder Wheel was introduced to the GS model with limited Data/Functionality

  • No bike data
  • HMIE*

I didnt actually ride the bike anywhere. Has anyone used one of these on the first generation water cooled?

Thanks!

David

Hi David,

On a 2013 1200GS, wheel control should work but data points and faults are almost non-existent.

Thanks

Oh, so this may have become a poor choice on my part?

Just to be clear, I wont be able to get anything useful on the screen such as the the TFT style display or any bike diagnostics. I feel a little silly now.

thanks

Hi David,

Some of the data can be sourced from the phone sensors like speed, bearing, pressure, g-force, lean, location, time, sunrise/sunset.  We plan to add a TFT screen optimized for folks without bike data, hiding stuff that can't be displayed, and emphasizing the stuff that can.

Thanks

Hello David,

I have got the same problem with my 2013 GS LC.
No bike data visible on the wunderlinq phone app, but in the instrument panel are all data. I hope the problem will fixed. So it is only a limited use of the wunderlinq device.
Brgds Michael

Hi Michael

The issue isn't the Wunderlinq, it is the bike I believe. Being the first generation of water cooled, it seems they did not enable all the data options on the bus. I think 2014 and later are fine. As a result the Wunderlinq cant display anything, cause the data isnt being sent. I got this info from Wunderlinq support. I solved the issue by trading the bike on a 2022 model. *smile

Best Wishes
David

Hi David,

Congratulations, that was definitely a good decision. I think I'll ride my 2013 a little longer.
Greetings Michael

I have a 2013 and it works fine. I don't get the fancy TFT screen look alike but rather a matrix with all the data.

Hi All

2013 and most 2014 1200GS/A clusters don't send the performance/fault data to the Navigation cradle.  Unfortunately, the 'fix' would mean a new cluster and/or coding done to 2013/14.

Bigjay,
You can enable the dashboard and set it to use GPS speed even on a 2013 model year.
