Wonder wheel not working with app

I’ve got a couple issues with my Wunderlinq.  

First when using my LG phone my wonder wheel doesn’t work at all for scrolling through pages or anything.  I have to physically touch my phone screen to move from page to page or select anything. Also when I’m riding and stop my motorcycle I have to go completely out of my app and do a “force stop” then reopen the app or else my gear selector and trip meter doesn’t work.  That has to be done every time.  Same with using my IPhone.  I have to leave the app completely then come back to it for things to work.  

With my IPhone the wonder wheel will work but it doesn’t allow you to select anything.  Like I can’t use my wonder wheel to start and stop music, go home, navigate or anything.  It will scroll from page to page but won’t let you select anything.  

Any help appreciated.  I love the Wunderlinq though besides these few problems.

Bike is a 2017 BMW GS Adventure 1200.  Just bought the Wunderlinq 3 days ago from Wunderlinq.  So I’m sure I’m using the latest firmware.

I'm having the same problem with a '22 R1250RS. I was using my WunderlinQ on a '18 R1200R,  and had no issues at all. Now the wonder wheel and WunderlinQ aren't talking.
