No Power anymore - Solutions?!

Hi everyone

I mean, others have posted about this problem before. The WL occasionally loses contact. By now there's never any power. It’s now clear to me based on the following diagnosis:

• On another GS, the WL has power; the LED is lit.
  
• A BMW Navigator on my GS also has power.
  
• Upon closer inspection and testing, the top two pins on my navigation mount are lower; they don’t spring back to full length when pressed, unlike the others.
  

It seems that these two pins are relevant for the WL, but less so for the BMW Navigator in this case!?
A question for Keith: Can you confirm this for me?
What does the community think regarding a solution: Can these pins be repaired, should I get a new Navigator mount, or should I switch to the WL X variant? What do you recommend?
