Android tablet - lock touch screen

Hi - how are people locking the touch screen on an Android pad?  The link to Google Smart Lock from the wunderlinq web pages is invalid (I suspect it's a bit old).  DMD2 has a button to lock the screen (and unlock it again) - would this be a good idea within the wuderlinq software too?

Samsung Tab Active 5, wunderlinq, GS1250

Aiming to use wunderlinq and MyRouteApp (preferably not also DMD2)
