Hey Keith,
finally had the time to do some measurements with mainly two setups.
Setup 1:
"SP Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module" connected directly to the power socket of my bike.
Output: ~650mA - 680mA (avg. ~ 660mA)
Setup 2:
"SP Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module" connected to the accessory connector of the WunderlinQ X.
BT on phone OFF: ~ 705mA (min./max.:
680mA - 770m)
BT on phone ON: ~ 735mA
(min./max.:
710mA - 780mA)
WLQ app in background: min./max.: 745mA - 760mA
WLQ app connected and running on phone: ~ 900mA
(min./max.: 880mA - 910mA)
Since I don't know the internal circuitry of the WLQX that leaves me with the following best guess:
The WLQX must be consuming around 20mA - 40mA in idle state and around 200mA - 250mA in connected state.
Since the voltage on my power socket was a little bit higher (~12.15V) than the accessory connector (~11.9V) I am leaning towards ~ 20mA idle state and ~ 200mA connected state.
Hope that helps anybody in figuring out if they can integrate more accessories next to a WLQX on their bike.
Conclusion:
For my bike it's working. ZFE (central control unit) doesn't shutdown the gradle port and the SP Connect Charging Module is charging my phone.
Next step for me:
I already ordered one of those pigtails (found them on ebay within the EU).
As soon as I tested, soldered and connected everything, I will post another update.
Last questions:
Did you by any chance find my (lost?) support request or should I send it again?
Was it the correct mail address or should I send it to a different one?
Have a nice and relaxed sunday everyone :)
