This is a phone poster issue mostly but I have had the menu come up accidently when using a mouse Sometimes when I am @ing someone by clicking their icon, or more often when I am scrolling up in chat (on a touch screen), I will accidentally click someone's name thereby pulling up the ignore or mute user menu inadvertently I have at least 3 times now managed to accidentally ignore users. I don't know why it has to be so accessible. I just went to dlive and clicked around on another user's username and couldn't find an ignore option, so I searched for it, and the best I can tell despite having extensive channel janny tools there is no way to ignore or block another user where you don't have to see their messages. So considering Bitwave is now leading the competition in creating a safe space for faggots I think its reasonable to require a user to type /ignore username and do away with annoying popup ignore/mute menu. If you looked at the stats for how many times it gets clicked I bet most times it is an accident and they click out and don't use either tool.
