Hi, I have a few questions.

1. In the 2011 semifinal answer key I am quite confused. I have attached pictures to the relevant questions. For 105 I don't even get how the pedigree is possible. For 111 I am confused how they arrived at C despite the answer being (12+13)/(36+39+12+13) = 0.25 as far as I understand.

2. Does anybody have the 2017 semfinals? I am willing to trade one of the exams in the set {2016 semifinals, 2017 open, 2018 open} for it.

The answer to the pedigree question is you know that both parents must be homozygous recessive, or else they wouldn’t show the phenotype, so the children all also must be homozygous recessive. So, the answer is D.

Then why are the other offspring of the two recessive parents not shaded?

I think it's because the reccisive phenotype may be cause of mutations in different locuses. One has double mutation in one locus and one in a different locus. When they gametes from two parents meet they compensate for each other.
