Dear Students and Parents,
Most “summer biology programs” are honestly just school 2.0. This one isn’t.
If you’ve been grinding for Biolympiads, you probably already know a ton of theory. But there’s a gap nobody talks about — actually doing biology. Like designing experiments, dealing with messy data, figuring out why something failed instead of just memorizing why it should work. That’s basically what this program is.
At BioResearch Academy, you’re working on real problems (stuff like cancer, neuroscience, etc.), not pre-packaged lab exercises. You’re expected to think, not just follow instructions. It’s closer to actual research than anything most high school students get access to. It’s in Boston, runs late June to early July, and yeah — it’s intense. Not something you do casually.
Why I’m sharing this here: if you’re serious about Olympiads, research competitions, or just trying to stand out for top universities, this kind of experience helps way more than another round of textbook prep.
Also — if you apply through Biolympiads, there’ll be some extra perks + gifts when you’re there in Boston.

Not going to pretend it’s for everyone:
it’s expensive
it’s a commitment
and if you just want something easy to put on an application, this isn’t it
But if you actually want to get a feel for real research early, it’s worth looking into.
