Hello everyone!
I am a sophomore who is excited to compete in USABO next year.
Currently, I have low to moderate experience with biology, having competed in the USA Brain Bee last year and working in a neuroscience lab.
Thinking ahead, I have devised a study plan to try to ensure that I will be successful in Biology Olympiad next year, and I wanted to check here to see if I am using my time effectively. I am the only one in my school who is interested in USABO, so I don't really have anyone to ask to make sure I am studying the right things.
My current plan is to finish Campbell's Biology 11th Edition by mid-August while taking good notes and watching Bozeman's Science videos as a supplement. After that, I am planning to reread the book at least once and read some of the other textbooks listed on Biolympiads.com.
Does my current plan sound good if my goal is to make finals? What other things could I incorporate into my studying? Are there any tips some experienced USABO-ers could give me?
Thanks!
Deniz
