USABO Problem-Solving Camp

8 Days That Can Change Your USABO Trajectory

The USA Biology Olympiad is not a memorization contest. It is a problem-solving competition under extreme time pressure. Every year, tens of thousands of students take the USABO Open Exam. Only 600 move on. Only 20 reach the Finals. If your goal is to be one of them, content knowledge alone won’t get you there.

This camp is built for one purpose:

to teach you how USABO problems actually work — and how to beat them efficiently.

What This Camp Does Differently

The Biolympiads USABO Problem-Solving Camp is an 8-day intensive designed for highly motivated students preparing for the USABO Open Exam 2026.

You will learn:

  • How to deconstruct USABO questions quickly
  • How to identify traps, shortcuts, and high-yield reasoning paths
  • How to analyze data, graphs, and experiments under time pressure
  • How to apply statistics and probability correctly (not guess and hope)

This is not passive learning. This is thinking training.

How the Camp Works

  • Duration: 8 days
  • Daily schedule: 2–4 hours/day
  • Dates: Christmas Break 2025
    Starting Sunday, December 20, 2025
  • Live sessions:
    3:00–5:00 PM EST
    7:00–9:00 PM EST

All classes are taught on ZOOM, with full access to recordings afterward. Can’t attend live?

You get full offline access at the same price. No penalties. No watered-down version.

What You’ll Study (3 Core Modules)

Module 1: USABO Open Exam Problem-Solving (2022–2025)

  • ~100 real USABO Open questions
  • Step-by-step explanations
  • Emphasis on speed, logic, and elimination strategies

Module 2: Statistics & Probability for Biology Olympiads

  • Descriptive statistics
  • Key statistical tests
  • Probability theory actually used in USABO
  • Heavy practice — no theory without application

Module 3: Advanced Data Analysis & Interpretation

  • ~50 advanced biology problems
  • Graph interpretation
  • Experimental design analysis
  • Drawing correct conclusions from messy data (just like USABO)

Instruction That Actually Matters

You will be taught by:

  • IBO medalists
  • USABO semifinalists

These are instructors who have already solved the exam you are preparing for — not generic tutors reading from slides.

You also get:

  • Access to Teachable with recorded explanations of the hardest problems
  • A Teams group where you can ask questions from any past USABO paper
Tutors respond throughout the camp, not “when they get around to it”

Who Should Enroll

This camp is for students who:

  • Are serious about USABO Open → Semifinals
  • Want measurable improvement, not vague “exposure”
  • Are willing to think hard, make mistakes, and fix them fast

If you’re looking for shortcuts or motivational fluff, this isn’t it.
If you want results, you’re in the right place.

Ready to Train Properly?

USABO doesn’t reward effort. It rewards execution.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is impossible to register on www.usabo-trc.org as it is now past the deadline. However, please check the USABO-China initiative if you are eligible: https://usabo.org.cn. This competition is usually later in the year.

Best wishes,
Biolympiads Team
