Hi all,
I hope this email finds you well. Please join us next week on Wednesday 13th November at 1pm for the next Microbiome Analysis Community Meeting to hear about:
Update on the Australian Microbiome Initiative - Dr Andrew Bissett, CSIRO
Development of the AusTrakka Project - Clare Sloggett, Lead Developer, University of Melbourne
We'll also hold a discussion on relevant platforms for microbiome analysis, and discuss data products from the MGnify platform and a proposed customised Microbiome Lab (similar to Genome Lab) in Galaxy Australia. Plus there will be a chance for you to bring any other business or news to share.
Please join us on Wednesday, 13th November, 12:00 AEST / 13:00 AEDT! You can find the agenda here, which contains the zoom link. Please share widely!
Missed our last meeting? Watch the recording here. We heard from Dr Rachael Lappan from Monash University about her important DECRA funded work looking at atmospheric microbial life and the strategies required to examine this area of research. We also heard about a standardised microbiome analysis workflow including reporting that can be found on Galaxy Australia by bioinformatician, Valentine Murigneux, from the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation Bioinformatics Team.
Looking forward to seeing you next week!
