Dear colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce a unique hackathon event: "Optimising Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs) Workflows in Galaxy." This exciting event is being run in collaboration with our European colleagues, and we invite you to join us from Australia!

What is the MAGs Hackathon?
This event brings together professionals with diverse skills to collaborate on crucial advancements in MAG workflows. You'll have the opportunity to:

You'll connect in person with a national group in Melbourne and online with international experts and enthusiasts. Find more details on the event objectives here.

Why should you participate?
This is a fantastic opportunity to:
  • Engage in collaborative group work with a network of experts outside your usual connections.

How it Works:
Our Australian group will be based in Melbourne from Tuesday, 7th October to Friday, 10th October 2025, working from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM AEST daily.
