Dear all,
I am following up on the Microbiome Analysis Community Meeting held in early August. Thank you to everyone who attended.
At our recent meeting, Dr. Cameron Hyde delivered a presentation titled "Taxonomic classification of biological specimens based on DNA analysis." Cam showcased a project developed with his QCIF colleague, Dr. Magda Antczak. This project offers a user interface that leverages BLAST for identifying nucleic acid sequences of interest, complemented by visual interpretation tools. You can access the meeting recording here.
During the meeting, I invited attendees to express their interest in joining our FAIRyMAGs Hackathon! We will work in Melbourne while connecting with our European colleagues to Optimise Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs) Workflows in Galaxy. Please let us know if you’d like to attend. It will be held from October 7-10. Further details are available here.
Our next Microbiome Analysis community meeting will be held on Tuesday 28th October, 13:00 - 14:30 AEDT. Please let me know if you have a topic of interest to present to the group or an agenda topic.
Regards,
Tiff
