Dear colleagues,
We’re excited to invite submissions for RSAA26 (Research Software Asia Australia Conference 2026), taking place on 25 August 2026.
This year’s theme is “Research Software Without Borders: Building Equitable, Sustainable, and Connected Research Software Communities.” RSAA26 is part of the Global South Research Software Group of Conferences, connecting research software communities across Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and Latin America.
We welcome contributions from anyone involved in research software, including RSEs, researchers, infrastructure providers, librarians, data specialists, students, and community organisers. Presenting at RSAA26 is a great opportunity to share your work, connect with peers across regions, gain feedback, and contribute to global conversations on research software.
You can submit a Lightning Talk, Demo/Showcase, or Presentation, and we also welcome flexible formats. If your idea doesn’t fit the standard options, you’re encouraged to propose alternatives such as workshops, panels, or facilitated discussions.
Submit a proposal by 1 May 2026:

We’re also looking for a few community volunteers to help make the event run smoothly:
• Reviewers (before the event): help review presentation submissions and provide feedback to shape the conference program.
• Session Chairs (during the event): introduce speakers, keep sessions on time, and moderate Q&A discussions.
Volunteers in these roles receive a free conference ticket.

Whether you’re sharing new work, lessons learned, tools, infrastructure, or community experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
