Dear All,
Thank you to everyone who attended the eDNA Analysis community meeting in early June, which featured an interesting presentation by Dr. Joshua Koh on "Multimodal machine learning with eDNA for ecosystem biomonitoring." You can access the recording and meeting materials here.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9th, at 1:00 pm AEST. Dr. Jenny Giles (CSIRO) will join us to present on the National Biodiversity DNA Library.

Metagenomic Analysis Workshop – 2026 Brisbane
This three-day workshop introduces best practices and practical workflows for working with publicly available microbiome datasets, focusing on reproducible, FAIR data-driven research.
- Part 1 (Hybrid): Tuesday, 25 August, 11:00–17:00 AEST (Online or in-person at Brisbane/St Lucia)
- Part 2 (In-person only): Wednesday, 26 August – Thursday, 27 August, 9:00–17:00 AEST (University of Queensland, St Lucia)
Registration:
The workshop is free to attend, but in-person capacity is limited to 20 participants. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
