Diana,

Thank you for the links and PDFs. Do you know the details of the separated bicycle lanes mentioned in OBAG letter?

Hello Team,

Once again thanks for your engagement in the letter of support for the City of San Jose's OBAG application to provide much-needed improvements in traditionally underserved and impacted communities on the Vision Zero Corridors.  If there are no objections to providing the letter of support that the City has requested, the letter will be made available to the city tomorrow. The draft letter is in the attachments for your reference.

Buki more details about the separated bicycle lanes mentioned in OBAG letter can be found here in the SAN JOSÉ BETTER BIKE PLAN 2025  on pages 80 and 86 see (maps attached below).  With the exception of the Jackson Avenue Complete Street Project which calls for a raised bike trail (see Attachment below), the Bike Plan indicates that Class IV (see link for an image of a Class IV bike lane)Bike lanes are part of the SAN JOSÉ BETTER BIKE PLAN 2025 | IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY for  the following proposed  separated bikeways projects highlighted in RED:
    1. Jackson Avenue Complete Street Project- Improves a Vision Zero corridor by implementing separated bikeways, pedestrian improvements, and urban greening.  Please see attached Jackson Avenue Complete Streets Project

    1. White Road Complete Street Project- Improves a Vision Zero corridor and includes a road diet, separated bikeways, pedestrian improvements, and urban greening.

    1. Julian and St. James Livable Streets Couplet Conversion Project- Decouples and creates a multi-modal livable street including sharrows, wayfinding, bike racks, pedestrian improvements, and trees.

    1. Story Road-Keyes Street Complete Street Project- Improves a Vision Zero corridor by constructing separated bikeways, pedestrian improvements, transit facilities, and urban greening.

    1. King Road Complete Street Project- Improves a Vision Zero and Transit Priority corridor by including separated bikeways, pedestrian improvements, transit facilities, and potential urban greening.

    1. Tasman Avenue Complete Street Project: Improves a intercity east-west connector by including separated bikeways, pedestrian improvements, transit access facilities, and urban greening.

All the best,

Diana Crumedy
