All,

Please consider attending the monthly Biketivist Forum. See below for details. However, during the second half of the program, attendees break into small groups to discuss local issues. The Mountain View group is a good, talkative group where you can bring up biking issues important to you with like-minded folks.

I hope to see you there!

Farewelcomes: SVBC Board and Staff
There are 12 awesome folks who get paid to wake up every morning and get more folks riding bikes for everyday use - your dedicated SVBC staff. And, there are 12 non-paid folks who volunteer their time in the role of SVBC Board of Directors. SVBC has some new folks and some outgoing folks. Click
here if you're interested to find out who these good people are.

Free Bike Repair and Safety Check (Sam Mateo) - 2/6/22
Is your bike in need of a repair or tune-up? Bring it to our Free Bike Repair and Safety Check Training Event. The SVBC San Mateo Local Team will be providing free bike repairs while talking bike owners through the work so they can take that knowledge home free of charge. It’s a great opportunity to ask those burning questions and get an instructional on light maintenance. Click here to sign up for the free bike repair and safety check in San Mateo.

Biking Basics
Learn the basics of bicycling on streets including choosing a bike, appropriate gear, route planning, and safety tips.
This class is useful for all, and especially great for people who already know how to bike but are considering bicycling more around town and looking to brush up their urban riding skills. Click here to register for Biking Basics sponsored by VTA.

Join the SVBC team!
We'd like to share a couple of full-time job opportunities here at the Coalition. If you're passionate about bicycles and looking to get more people riding, we'd love to chat with you! We have three full-time roles available covering all areas of our work, programs, advocacy & engagement. Apply for one of the open roles at SVBC here.

Apply today!

We see the bicycle as so much more than a method of transportation, but a vehicle for large scale transformation. If you feel strongly about physical and mental health, climate change, and accessibility, you should be on our team! We’re stronger together, please support the work.
