Tandem chainring spacers

I took the drivetrain of our family tandem apart to clean it.

At the stoker position there is the small chainring, the crank, the large chainring and a chainguard.

There are two spacers, a thin one and a thick one.

I can't remember how they go? Where does the thick one go and where does the thin one go?
