In 2008 I purchased a custom, Pocket Caruso (Candy Apple Red) touring bike with a Rohloff 14 speed hub from Bike Friday. In 2009, my husband (5’11”) bought a silver Pocket Caruso touring Bike Friday with a Rohloff. Unfortunately, after just a couple, short bike trips, he got sick and our riding days were over.
These wonderful bikes have been sitting in the attic for eight years now and it’s time to sell them. His bike has less than 1000 miles on it, mine has, maybe, double that. They are both in excellent shape with only very minor, cosmetic imperfections, and come with their Samsonite travel cases (one case was slightly damaged and repaired), custom packing materials, rear racks, front and rear fenders, kickstands and extra tubes and tires. The Rohloff hubs work great and gave us nice, low gears for riding up hills loaded.
We had hoped to have many years on our Bike Fridays but it didn’t work out that way for us. These great bikes need new owners so they can get out on the road again where they belong!
