Several years ago we bought a Tandem Traveler XL. This was in the bag of parts that the seller included. Do any of you know what it's for?

Is that not for tightening the timing chain by moving the connection tubes?

It fits over the pin shown in the attached photo to lever out the boom tube if it's stuck. On my TTXL, the pin is only on the upper boom, so it's not going to do much for timing chain adjustment.
