Bike Friday friends:

I'm selling an extra small New World Tourist. This bike has a ~50cm virtual
top tube. The color is Super Grape Purple, a rich mid-purple. This bike has
a 3X7 drivetrain (3-speed Sachs rear hub + 7-speed Shimano cluster) and v
brakes. It also has a Softride suspension stem that does a good job in
damping the shock from riding over bumps. The handlebar is a split-apart
Bike Friday H bar.

The Good
This bike has been stored most of its life and is in very clean condition.
There is very little wear and everything gleams. The drivetrain is smooth*
and the brakes stop the bike quickly. The paint is deep and even and
glistens. There is no rust or oxidation anywhere.

*The Bad
The 3-speed Sachs rear hub frequently sticks when going from the lighter
gear to the middle one. All other gears are fine. Cosmetically, there is
the odd light mark here and there, nothing of note. The most obvious is the
scratch to the Bike Friday stick on the non-drive side.

Shipping
I’m planning to ship this bike folded and packed into an older Samsonite
Oyster suitcase from one of our other Bike Fridays. It won’t come with the
BF-made felt and vinyl, but I’ll be sure to pack it like I do when we take
our bikes overseas. This bag has a few bumps and bruises from travel but is
fully functional. For practical purposes, I prefer not to ship outside of
the USA. I am in Seattle and anyone local is most welcome to a test ride.

Detailed photos are here. Please email directly if you have trouble
accessing them.

Hey There,
I saw a photo of a SatRDay folding recumbent Bike Friday made a while ago. Being a long-time Tour Easy, Easy Racer rider (big long recumbent, delightful to tour on only if you start at your front door), I'm wondering if anyone has a folding SatRDay stashed away that they are not using and would like to sell?

Gratefully,

I have a Sat-R-Day on loan to a friend who was interested in buying it for his wife. I checked with him today and they decided against it. He will be returning it to me soon and then I’ll take photos and determine a fair price. I have the travel suitcase, wheels and brackets to make it into a trailer.

My first recumbent is an Easy Racer and I fell in love with recumbent biking. I used to travel a lot for work and bought the Sat-R-Day. I rode in many interesting places and enjoyed my time away from home with that bike. I also took it to Holland and did a self supported tour of New Zealand.

Let me know if you’re interested.
