Bike Friday Ti Lite Tandem, 451, small+/52cm, 29lbs, $6k retail, King, FSA Carbon, Priced @ $1999
A beautiful and light weight custom 451 Ti Lite tandem. This was constructed outside off the normal production line, built start to finish by a single Line Master. It features custom bi-laminate frame construction at the head tube and captain seat tube as well as scalloped tubes everywhere. Even the water botte cage clamps are scalloped. It is quite gorgeous. Lightly used with my son. 29lbs with saddles (not included) and no pedals, total ship weight is 43lbs with case included. Comes with Samsonite case and packing system.
Sized to fit riders from 5’3” – 5”7”, a 5’8” captain is possible with a longer front stem. A tight cassette for small steps between gears and triple crank for a wide range for climbing.

Drivetrain is ultrasonically cleaned and chains are fresh hot waxed for ultimate cleanliness and longevity. The rear tire has about 50% wear, front 20% wear, all other components are roughly at 5-10% wear (90+% life left). Every bearing is smooth with no signs of wear. My friends (who turned me on to this group) have:
https://www.amazon.com/Allen-Sports-Compact-Folding-2-Bike/dp/B00TRTS0JS?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
They used it on two trips to Palm Springs. It holds their tandem Bike Friday and my single Bike Friday. It folds and they carry it on the plane. It does take a bit of fiddling to get its placement right but that’s because each rental car calls for a bit of tweaking. If you have your own car I’d imagine you’d get the setup pretty routine.
A few bungy cords and a foam block keep the bike(s) from swinging into the rear of the car.
