Buying Bike Friday Tikit Folding Rear Rack

Hi everyone,

I got a used Bike Friday Tikit recently and it's amazing! I would like to have paneers on a back rack instead of the front rack though since turning is a little hard with things on the front.

So! If someone is willing to let go of their Tikit folding rear rack (I think it even has a small wheel on it so it helps roll when it's folded), let me know and I will happily buy it off you :D. I'll also pay for it to be shipped to me from wherever you are

Or there are Made for  Brompton 3rd party made rear racks too; sit low over a 16"  wheel .. Nitto 2 versions ..

there are some others  lighter than the Brompton standard cast    aluminum.   

I got an Xooter Cross rack (1 pannier , crossways)   Fitted  it's  seat post mount,   on my Tikit & the Pocket Llama..

Season Tikit  I got 2nd hand,   has their 2 sided  front pannier rack , front rack on the Llama too..

Tikit's   sits further forward so a bit more ahead of the axle mass .

less flop feel   panniers , centered back a ways.. around  the 20" wheel

The Arkel beam rack has a slightly better weight limit than most beam racks but does not have side frames for panniers.  

Take a look at the Topeak MTX beam racks with optional side frames for the TrunkBags with small fold out pannier side panels.

 a bit of creative fabrication  can create the spaniel Ear  pannier support.. 

 not  skilled ? hire someone that is.

I do all I need with the Brompton front bag, especially  now that I created a  cargo  rack  .

The Touring Bag is quite large. Their Ortlieb Supplied O bag is smaller volume but super nice, 

& Stuff stays Dry inside. & there are extra  back pocket options like a flat pack bottle

Add a bike trailer for extra capacity. I also can tow the same  trailer behind My BiFri Tikit.

Anyhow,  Bike Friday Used to make a special rack that was made to work with the Tikit rear fold..

but they dropped them & the bikes in favor of the PakIt..  ready for that eBay search ?
