Hi,

Would someone please guide me how to get dielectric function (Let's say Silicon) using Berkeley_GW? I am new to this software so your guidance help to understand and plot the dielectric function. I am quite familiar with Quantum Espresso and I know how to plot it using scf, nscf, epsilon.

Thank you for your time in advance.

Dear Md Jahid Hasan,

If you run through the whole process and finish the BSE calculation, you can get the dielectric functions including excitonic effects of semiconductors.  There are quite some examples and tutorials for BerkeleyGW. For example: https://workshop2023.berkeleygw.org/tutorial-workshop/about

Best,
Zhenglu
