Yesterday, girls golf competed in the annual River Valley Conference tournament. It was a beautiful day for golf and the team performed admirably on a very tough golf course. While the team did not bring home first place honors, there were some memorable moments: Katy Gregory chipping in, Fiona Hagan-Storbeck and Kaley Zelhart almost hitting LONG birdie putts on the same hole, and Isabelle Herrera stepping up with another great score. Fiona finished 5th overall earning All-Conference honors and Kaley tied for 6th place. The team plays Grant Park and WIlmington at home tomorrow.
Boys golf brought home their eighth consecutive RVC title last night behind our four first team All-Conference golfers. Charlie Nowak and Jacob Benck tied for 3rd place with scores of 88, Ben Anaclerio finished 2nd with a score of 83, and Peyton Serafin was RVC player of the year with a score of 75. Not to be forgotten, Danny Vallos and Jayden Weishaar both did their jobs by posting solid rounds to support the four main scorers. Congratulations boys!
