The girls soccer team had a big win over Peotone last night by a score of 4-3.  Grace Durante led the charge with a hat trick while Ava Gaidar tallied a goal and an assist of her own.  Molly Krupa also tallied an assist on one of Durante's goals.  The defensive efforts of Teagan Claus, Krupa, Abby Coral, and Ruby Gomez were exceptional.  Makenna Burdick had a busy night corralling 16 saves in the net.  Great team effort!

Yesterday, the Varsity Baseball team defeated Grant Park 4-3.  Grant Park took an early lead scoring two runs in the top third inning, but Tyler Doran's double plated two Bobcat runners in the bottom of the third to tie the score.  The Dragons answered by scoring one run in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead.  However, in the bottom of the seventh, Easton Lane led the inning off with a triple, before scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game.  Then Doran singled, Gavin VanNess drew a walk, Nicholas Fox laid down a perfect bunt hit, and Noah Hanson singled to secure the walk off win.  Fox earned the win striking out 5 batters in 3 innings of work.

The girls and boys track and field teams competed at the Watseka Fresh/Soph Invitational last night. The girls had a stellar performance finishing in 2nd place out of 12 teams. Top performers included Rachel Imig who placed 1st in the mile run and 2nd in the 800 meter run, Maeve McDermott who placed 2nd in the mile run and 3rd in the 800 meter run, Madison Smith who placed 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles and 2nd in long jump. Many points were also earned in the 2 mile run behind a 1st place finish from Jaslynn Vargas and a 2nd place finish from Annabelle Kapchinske. Finally, the night ended with an amazing winning performance by the 4x400 meter team consisting of Raina McKay, Madison Smith, Maeve McDermott and Rachel Imig. For the boys, Adrian Sandoval led the way with a 1st place finish in the 400 meter dash and also contributed to a 2nd place finish in the 4x400 meter relay and the 4x800 meter relay. Both relays consisted of Jacob Papas, Alfredo Ramirez, Oliver Lause and Adrian Sandoval.

Girls softball shutout Grant Park in both games of their doubleheader yesterday.  In game one, Taylor Norkus earned the win surrendering only two hits, giving up zero runs, striking out eight and walking one batter over six innings.  Allie Johnson, Makenna Albert, Elena Kvasnicka and Grace Wuest all had hits in the game.  There were also four stolen bases by the Bobcats.  Final score 10-0.  Allie Johnson earned the win in game two striking out eight and walking none in four innings of play.  Carmela Irwin pitched one inning of shutout ball, striking out three, walking none.  The ladies tallied 20 hits in the 14-0 shutout from Makenzie Johnson, Emma Henderson, Elena Kvasnicka, Mia Chavez, Grace Wuest, Allie Johnson and Maddie Grooms.
