The boys soccer team came out with a ton of energy early Saturday morning and defeated Reed Custer by a score of 8-1.  Scoring was spread around as Wences Baumgartner led the way with 2 goals and an assist.  Axel Jurez, Pablo Avila, Tyler Doran, Dom Bresnahan, Paxton Gorcowski, and Vince Durante all found the back of the net as well.  Tyler Olson did a great job distributing the ball as he collected 2 assists.  Trevor Panozzo, Axel Avila, Miguel Corral, and Gavin Graham also collected assists.  Brian Oldenburg had 4 saves in the goal.  

Over the weekend some members of the BHS boys golf team competed in the HF Invitational at Lincoln Oaks Golf course, and finished 12th overall with a 365 behind the 3A schools in our area.  Charlie Nowak led the way with a solid round of 81, Danny Vallos set a personal best and scored an 89, Jacob Benck continued his steady scoring and finished with a 90, and Jayden Weishaar finished our top scores with a 105.  Good work on a cold and early morning!

Last Friday, girls golf traveled to Dwight to play what could end up being their Regional course.  On greens that were faster and much more sloped than Cardinal Creek, the home Trojans got the victory.  Congratulations to Mareyah Lewis on her first ever full match.  She played well and exceeded Coach Martewicz's expectations.  The team travels down the road to Grant Park today.

Any student interested in representing your class, please pick up an application in the office. Applications and essays must be submitted to your class advisor no later than 3:15PM on Friday, September 19th.  Late applications will NOT be accepted.  Elections will be held on Wednesday, September 24th.
