Girls basketball secured their first season win last night by defeating BBCHS 40-37. After a slow start from both teams offensively, Beecher found themselves just behind at half with a score of 22-16. A monster 3rd quarter changed the tide in the Bobcats favor, having them seize the lead going into the 4th. Team defense was a critical component to our win as many turnovers led to transition opportunities on the offensive end. Carmela Irwin led the offensive charge scoring a career high 11 points. Molly Vladika had 10 points as well.  Tonight the ladies take on Manteno at 7:15pm.

Attention high school students!!  The Crete Park District is looking for basketball referees to officiate games in their Youth  Basketball Program this winter.  Program Dates: January 21 to March 11, 2026.   Game Times: Games begin at 6pm.   If you are interested in becoming a referee, please contact the Crete Park District at 708-672-6969 and ask for Jake, the Recreation Supervisor who oversees the youth basketball program.  You may also reach out by email at jmet...@cretepark.com.  This is not a Beecher CUSD 200u sponsored program.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - our first of two BLOOD DRIVES will be Wednesday, December 3.  See Mrs. Segert for a permission slip and an appointment time.  Donating blood four times will earn you a red cord when you graduate.  Remember, donating blood saves lives!!
