The Scholasti-Cats defeated Donovan in two matches 190-30 and 140-40. Leading the way with toss-ups was Katy Gregory with 4, Lanaya Kellum and Jacob Phillips 3, Ivan Haro, Natalia Dominguez, Jayne Golke and Shayleigh Brunger 2, and Josh Price with 1.  Team help on bonus was strong with Mila Nikolic, Elliot Garcia, Maddy Cramer, and Ben Swaw.  Strong Performance all around.  Next home match is January 7 against rival Tri-Point.

Girls basketball traveled to Manteno to take on a tough opponent, who entered the game with a 9-1 record. Beecher competed hard throughout the first 3 quarters, battling back and forth and matching Manteno's physicality and energy, keeping the game within reach. Unfortunately, Beecher could not get anything going offensively in the 4th while Manteno hit a few key buckets that took all the momentum away, allowing Manteno to run away with the game. The ladies are  now 5-6 on the year with another game tonight at ILHS.

The JH boys basketball teams are hosting their fundraiser tomorrow afternoon. They are looking for volunteers to work admissions and concessions.
