Mathletes: The bus leaves for Grant Park at 5:15pm today.

The Scholasti-Cats won 1 and lost 1 against Grant Park last night.  We won the first game 210-120 and lost the second 200-130.  Leading the way with toss-ups was Lanaya Kellum with 9, Maddy Cramer with 7, Jacob Phillips with 4, Katy Gregory with 2, and Josh Price with 1.  We have two home matches next week, Monday vs. Bishop Mac and Wednesday vs. St. Anne.

Last night girls bowling lost to Rich Township.  In a two game series, Beecher total pin count (710) vs Rich Township (990).  Top 3 bowlers of the  evening were Emily Hudspeth (271), Anna Westerhoff (249) and Gabrielle Fezler (252). The player spotlight of the night was Isa Herrera with her first turkey of the season!  Way to go Isa!  Girls face Peotone tomorrow night.

Beecher earned a hard-fought 48–46 comeback victory over Reed-Custer in the teams’ second meeting of the season, showing resilience and balance when it mattered most.  Beecher leaned on its offense early to stay within striking distance, with Aubrey Tiltges carrying the scoring load in the first half by pouring in all 12 of her points before the break. Molly Vladika was also key early, scoring 8 of her 10 points in the first half to help keep the game close. Despite a difficult third quarter that saw Beecher outscored 21–4, the Bobcats responded with grit and intensity. The second half turned on Beecher’s defensive pressure, led by Madison Smith and Makenna Mead, whose aggressive play caused chaos, forced turnovers, and ignited the comeback. Smith capped off the effort by scoring 8 of Beecher’s 18 points in the fourth quarter.  With the win, Beecher improves to 12–9 on the season and has eight games remaining as the Bobcats continue to build momentum.
