Girls basketball traveled to Grant Park for the second meeting between the two conference foes and wasted no time setting the tone. The Bobcats came out sharp and confident, jumping ahead early behind a balanced first-quarter effort. Grace Wuest got things rolling with four points, while Carmela Irwin and Aubrey Tiltges each knocked down a three to give Beecher early control.  That momentum only grew as the game went on. Beecher’s defense was locked in throughout the first half, holding Grant Park to just one made field goal as the Bobcats cruised into halftime with a commanding 30–10 lead. On both ends of the floor, Beecher dictated the pace and made every possession tough for the home team.  The dominance continued after the break, as Beecher stayed aggressive in the third quarter and never allowed Grant Park a chance to climb back in. With steady offense and disciplined defense, the Bobcats comfortably closed out a 48–29 conference victory.  Aubrey Tiltges led Beecher with 14 points, while four other Bobcats chipped in six points apiece—Grace Wuest, Carmela Irwin, Molly Vladika, and Madison Smith—highlighting the team’s balanced attack. The win marked No. 16 on the season for Beecher, improving their record to 16–11 overall and 12–3 in conference play as they continue to build momentum down the stretch.

If you're interested in joining the Track and Field team, please see Mr. Smulson in room 31 during study hall this week.

The Scholasti-Cats went 1-1 against Illinois Lutheran last evening, winning the first match 230-220 and losing the second match 240-220 in the closest contests of the season.  Lanaya Kellum led the way with 12 toss-ups, followed by Katy Gregory with 5, Jacob Phillips with 2 and Maddy Cramer with 1 that turned the tide and helped us win game 1.  Excellent support on bonus questions from Natalia Dominguez and Josh Price.  Our next match is home on Monday vs. Grace Christian at 4 pm.

SAVE THE DATE - Winter dance, which is themed SWEETHEARTS, will be Friday, February 20th from 6-9pm.  More details will be forthcoming.  Students are reminded, per School Board policy, that ½ of all outstanding fees must be paid before buying your ticket.  See Mrs. Segert in the office if you have questions about fees.
