Monday, April 20
Eighteen mathletes competed in State competition this past Saturday. Dominic Benson and Sierra Sparenberg were three points away from cracking the top ten in their event. Dominc Benson has gone to State all 4 years. This was Katy Gregory's third year at State. Mathletes, thanks for a great year.
Girls softball picked up two wins in a double header against GSW last Friday. In game one, the ladies accumulated 10 hits, shutting out GSW 10-0. Game two was another shut-out 4-0. Taylor Norkus picked up both wins. The team travels to Illinois Lutheran tomorrow.
On Friday, the Varsity Baseball team lost a heartbreaker to Wilmington by a score of 5-7. In the fourth inning the Bobcats were down 0-2. Santino Imhof got the scoring started by blasting his first home run of the season. Later in the inning Noah Hanson blasted a 3 run homer to take the lead. However, the 5-3 lead was not enough as in the bottom of the sixth inning Wilmington hit a three run home run to take the lead for good. On Saturday, the Varsity team came out on top of the slugfest at Milford. Easton Lane got the scoring started by blasting his second home run of the season in the top of the first inning. Chase Maher and Santino Imhof each had four hits in the game. Tyler Doran and Nicholas Fox also added two hits apiece. Lane took the pitching victory going two innings in relief of Maher and Doran.
Community Service Opportunity – volunteers are needed in the food stand during the Fourth of July celebration here in Beecher. Shifts are available July 3rd and 4th from 12 noon - 10:00pm. Text Kevin at 708-214-1744 for more information or to sign up.
Seniors — Mrs. Hoekstra needs the following completed:
• Please pick up your senior shirts and sweatshirts. If you would still like to order one, come see me.
• Optional: Create a personal display board to be shown at Senior Awards Night in the cafeteria and possibly again at graduation.
These displays can be similar to those made for graduation parties and may include:
– Your plans after graduation (college, military, trade school, workforce, gap year, etc.)
– Photos of you growing up
– Activities, awards, interests, and accomplishments
Families, staff, and underclassmen will be invited to walk through and view the displays before Senior Awards Night to celebrate your achievements.
Display boards are due by Monday, 4/27.
• Lastly, please email me 5 photos for a display wall and/or slideshow I am creating.
Photos can range from baby pictures to senior pictures and may include you alone, with family, or with friends. All photos must be school-appropriate.

REMINDER TO SENIORS - As a graduation requirement, a minimum of 24 community service hours must be turned into the office by May 12.
