WOW - what a day the girls bowling team had yesterday! The SAC Bowling Tournament was held at Stardust in Dyer. Six teams competed in a 6-game series. Rich Township (4538), Thornton (4231),
BEECHER (3647), Crete-Monee (3322), Kankakee (3243), and Bloom (2948). Some notables: Emily Hudspeth achieved 2 Turkeys, a personal best score of 206, and took home an individual 4th-place medal. Aurora Cantu got a Turkey, a personal best score of 185, and brought home a 7th-place medal. The top three bowlers of the 6-game series were Emily Hudspeth (901), Aurora Cantu (893), and Gabrielle Fezler (650). We are back in action Monday against Marian Catholic.
Girls varsity basketball battled through a hard-nosed, physical contest on the road at Iroquois West but came up just short in a 44–41 loss. The game was filled with heart, determination, and plenty of physical play, as both teams fought for every loose ball and possession. Despite matching Iroquois West’s intensity throughout the night, a few missed opportunities at the free-throw line proved costly for Beecher, who finished 10-for-19 at the stripe. In a game decided by just three points, those key misses ultimately made the difference. Madison Smith led the Bobcats with 9 points, while Caitlin O’Neil added 8 in the gritty effort. Beecher now turns the page and looks to regroup as they host GSW tomorrow night, with a chance to snap the losing streak on Senior Night. Come out and support our seniors!
