The Ladycats golf team faced Watseka at Cardinal Creek yesterday. Watseka must have had some game plan as our players had to wait for the visiting team to show up, due to poor communication on which course to go to. This ploy worked as the Warriors took the win. Kaley Zelhart once again led the Ladycats with a 52. She is waiting for a challenger to take the top spot from her-any takers Ladycats???? Players get a much needed break with the long weekend ahead.

Varsity soccer defeated Clifton by a score of 6-0. Wences Baumgartner was on fire, tallying all 6 goals! He was supported with some beautiful assists by Axel Juarez with 3 and Trevor Panozzo, Pablo Avila, and Dom Bresnahan with 1 assist each. Brian Oldenburg collected the clean sheet with 4 saves. The JV team bounced back and earned a convincing win. Several team members scored their first high school goal. Julian Luzano-Martinez, Jose Renteria, Paxton Gorcwoski, Jose Rodriguez, Jahir Campa, Stanley Detjin, Brayan Gonzalez, and Shelton Burdick all tallied goals! Miguel Corral tallied 2 assists with Julian, Shelton, Jahir, and Jose Renteria each collecting one. Stanley and Pablo Ruiz combined for the shutout in goal.

Scholastic Bowl will have an informational next Wednesday in the library from 3:00-3:30PM. We will go over the schedule, practices, matches, and t-shirts.

Attention students interested in joining Art Club - the first meeting of the year is on September 5th at 3:00PM in Mrs. Cerda's room 4.

Beecher Booster Club is looking for student volunteers who need to earn community service hours. Help is needed in the Junior HIgh concession stand for games. Hours are 4:15-7:15PM on various dates. Contact beecherbo...@yahoo.com for more information.
