Dear All,

Background: You know me as part of the Magner Career Center.   A little over a year ago, I was given the alumni office as part of my portfolio. The Magner Career Center still reports to me but is run by Andre.  Given the size of the alumni office staff and the absence of a director, I devote most of my energy to supporting that side. I am sure many of you are familiar with the alumni office already (Virginia, Orlette, and Nicole). They were without a full director for over 2 years so we are working hard to add new events, engage alumni etc.

The ask: I am sure many of you keep in touch with alumni, so I wanted to share the following

  1. Our new FAQ flier (attached)
  2. The fall career series workshops (attached)
  3. We’ll be celebrating the classes of 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, and 2000, with a special reunion for the classes of 1970–1973 who missed their in-person 50th reunion. ͏   If you know anyone in these classes, please forward them the below.    We hope this becomes an annual tradition.
  4. May 7th is our alumni/student networking night if you know of any alumni we should invite back.
  5. If you are seeking to get alumni into the classroom or partner on an alumni-focused event, please reach out in early December when I will finalize the spring schedule, since the calendar is almost full.
  6. We are hosting an AI 101 workshop in December for alumni and in January, we will have alumni from various expertise areas hosting sessions on topics such as diabetes, personal finance 101, etc.
  7. You are on the Magner list of Keep in the Know. If you want to receive ongoing updates about the alumni office events/services, please let me know.

Thank you for your partnership.
