Dear Students and Student Clubs,
February is American Heart Health Month, and the Health Programs team is dedicated to promoting heart health as we empower your health journey at Brooklyn College. We have two impactful events planned to raise awareness and encourage participation:
📅 Friday, February 7 – National Wear Red Day
Join us in supporting heart health and raising awareness that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, especially among women. Wear red and show your support!
📅 Thursday, February 20, 2025 – Heart-to-Virtual Conversations: Love Shouldn’t Hurt
Health Programs is hosting and has partnered with the Brooklyn College Women Center, the Graduate Center for Worker Education, the National Council of Negro Women, the National Association of University Women, the Graduate Student Organization, the Brooklyn
College AANAPISI Project, and the Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals. This event will focus on heart health, the role of respiratory care, and fostering healthy relationships during this season of love.
