You received information these events before but we are down to the wire for students to sign up. Please make sure they do not miss their chance. Below is what you can share with your students about these opportunities. In my new role, my primary focus is to increase alumni engagement to support students so I want to be sure your students do not miss the opportunity to connect with our successful alumni.
April Mentor Month
Magner Career Center Mentor Month in April has 40+ alumni and employers from various companies such as KPMG, PwC, Google, Bloomberg, SiriusXM, the Department of Education and more who are ready to provide valuable career advice to a small group of students. We have mentors across a variety of sectors such as Accounting, Finance, Law, Marketing, Medical, Entertainment, Education and many more. Interested in Participating? Please complete the following before slots fill up and by the latest 5pm on March 31st: https://forms.office.com/r/bQcYcMisN7 to indicate who you would like to meet with. Students will be selected based on the match to the alumni and availability of spots. If spots become filled, we will add students to our waiting list. May Networking Night
May 8th is our Student, Alumni, and Employer networking night. It will be a gathering of 60+ alumni across all 5 schools, plus 10 employers (below is a sampling of who is confirmed). Students will have a chance to mix and mingle with professionals from a variety of career fields to get insight and tips. Based on past events, we should reach the goal of having 150 attendees. Attached is the flyer for social media. If you are interested in attending yourself, let me know. Sometimes, by your attending, you can pass along what you learn to even more students.
