Hi,

We're very happy to announce that applications are open for the 13th annual Microsoft Research Data Science Summer School, an intensive hands-on introduction to data science for college students in the New York City area, and would like to encourage your students to apply.

The program will be in-person this year and 4 weeks long. Each accepted student receives a stipend for participating in the summer school, as well as a laptop. We are accepting applications until April 14th.

We are committed to helping build a more diverse and inclusive computer-science community and strongly encourage those from diverse, non-traditional, and under-represented backgrounds in STEM to apply.

Previous years have been extremely successful: student projects have been accepted at the KDD Workshop on Data Science for Social Good, the ACM Tapia Conference for Diversity in Computer Science, and MIT’s Conference on digital experimentation.

Further information about the program is available on our website: https://ds3.research.microsoft.com

Please help us spread the word by telling your colleagues and students about this opportunity!

All the best,
Jake Hofman
Senior Principal Researcher
Microsoft Research, New York City
